Be Honest On Your Resume

When applying to a new job or position, having a nice resume is a must. It should reflect your business experience in reality, nevertheless these resumes contain some lies, some of them are acceptable white lies and some of them are huge and definitely bullshit information.

Personally when interviewing new candidates, I take into consideration part of what is written in their resumes but would concentrate more on discovering their knowledge and experience outside the papers. Most people putting useless words in their resume are spotted during their probation period and get terminated.

Every word you write in your resume will come and hunt you back if they are not correct.

So here is the story behind this blog post, we had an employee in our company in Poland, he was hired as a salesman covering a specific geographic area of the country. We have discovered that his job was not done properly and he was not visiting some of our clients point-of-sales, so he was called to the main office to discuss the issue and after that, he received a written warning about the case.

Not being able to take the pressure of the work after the warning and not being able to cope with the company general rules and regulations, he decided to quit his position and found himself another job.

Few days ago, one of his colleagues spotted his profile on a popular professional network in Poland called GoldenLine where he posted bullshit lies about his last position in our company where he is stating the fake position of “Key Account Manager” and the amazing achievements he did and how much he contributed to the success and growth of our overall business.

Maybe he will manage to fool someone interviewing him but when getting to the real side of the business, i am not sure how much can someone hide his honest and true capabilities.
