Siblou was @ Anuga this year also, like the last 4 editions of this international food exhibition. You can view or download the latest Siblou catalog by clicking here

Since its first steps in 1996, Siblou has been dedicated to provide its customers with a wide range of quality seafood products and an exceptional service.

Siblou’s journey has been a challenge: a challenge to deal with a commodity as vulnerable as seafood, a challenge to insure reliable and consistent supply, a challenge to continuously cater and develop truly superior products to meet the requirements of increasingly sophisticated consumers despite their cultural differences and habits.

Now that first steps are far behind, Siblou’s maturity was reflected in its logo uplift. Siblou new logo shows more volume and enhanced legibility while preserving its spirit. A more general facelift became a necessity to confirm Siblou’s leadership of its category in innovation and design: packages follow a more innovative trend enhancing the brand architecture and preserving its identity.
Gradually, the product range rejuvenation followed to expand and diversify in depth existing ranges to meet today’s segmented consumer demand.

Despite cultural differences, more than 400 million consumers can enjoy Siblou products in over 27 countries in the Middle East, Africa & Europe. With over 90 SKUs, Siblou is leading the seafood retail category in most of the markets it penetrated.

Anuga is held in the city of Köln in Germany in the exhibition center called the KölnMesse

The city of Köln is also known as Cologne, where the Eau de Cologne was born with the famous brand 4711 and for those who are wondering, yes I do use it.

05. Unplug your cell phone charger when it’s not in use, as well as other appliances around the apartment.

06. Use the cold cycle of the washing machine for washing full loads of clothes, which saves 6.5 pounds of carbon emissions per load.

07. Bring your own coffee cup to your morning coffee shop to reduce waste.

08. Instead of buying bottles of water, invest in a reusable one and fill it at water fountains.

10. Use both sides of paper and then recycle. Only 9 percent of the 8 million tons of paper used each year is recycled. Print double-sided

Jounieh, my town.

The town where i was born, where i was raised, where i got my education, where i spent and am still spending the most beautiful days of my life.
The town i adore strolling its streets, where even the oxygen i take, i feel it different.

Unfortunately, my town is not the same anymore lately, have been trying to really understand what is wrong but could not get the answer so i decided to write this blog post and address the people i elected few years to take care of my town properly and they did not.

Harisa It is a real pity seeing a wonderful city like Jounieh being tortured this way, we live the 4 seasons, we have the most beautiful beach on the Mediterranean that is not accessible by anyone unless you pay the entrance fee, we were supposed to have nice and wide streets where people can easily walk and enjoy the beautiful scenes of the town.

It hurts me a lot to say that there is nothing to be proud about Jounieh anymore. No one cares while the people who are responsible say they do. Believe me, these are not the actions of someone who really cares.

How do you care if no one ever promotes the town? How do you care and the Municipality council is divided into many parts? How do you care if there no clear rules? How do you care if people are seeing their town being manipulated for personal reasons? And i can go on and on endlessly …

Your slogans were so shiny few years back when you wanted my vote and i trusted you because of the program you showed me and suddenly you were no longer together, some of you left, some of you stayed to hurt others and some of you are still there because of the power you have and all of you, you don’t really deserve my vote. Your were supposed to be friends and colleagues and make our town a great one, but sadly you got lost by the power you were given.

Oh yes! i am sure you have lots of explanations and justifications to give me but where is the real thing we wanted, where are those dreams we built in our minds, they evaporated, PERIOD.

I wanted to say this many times before and i am sure that this blog post wont even reach your eyes to know that there is someone out there who is not happy about you managing his town, but it is ok, i said what i wanted to say. Who knows, maybe one day you will read this and feel guilty for what you did.

The main reason for writing this post, is the below picture i took while passing in Jounieh for 2 consecutive days last weekend.

Just tell me how you permit yourself keeping garbage on the sidewalk? If you had some tiny respect for yourself, you would all resign and go home, you shameless people!

Siblou Light-meat-tuna-in-oil We have been facing the presence of fake Siblou products for quite some time in many markets where we are present.

Luckily we have uplifted our main logo not long time ago while fake products are still using our old one. As you can see while comparing our original label with the fake ones, that these people did not really bother themselves in making some major changes or differences (this reminds me when my daughter plays “find the 7 differences” game).

All they did was to copy the label as is, without any effort and to be fair to one of these unethical people, he really wanted to make a difference while copying a known brand, he just added the “n” letter at the end to make our brand called Sibloun, so i have to admit that was a very clever move *ironic sigh*, while the other guy just used a scanner and surely the quality found inside these cans is not comparable with Siblou.

fake siblou Definitely our company took legal actions to put an end to these counterfeited goods, but such cases need time and patience until all evidence are gathered.

We have already other branding, packaging and marketing plans and solutions in place to fight back, but unfortunately i am not able to share such information for the time being.

Nonetheless, we are not only copied on this range, our frozen products design (and quality) was also copied in so many countries in the Gulf and in Europe, i will be writing about this also soon.

Unfortunately successful brands and products have been copied since forever worldwide, the dark side of this is directly hitting 2 main parties, the consumer, who, sometimes is buying without making sure he is not fooled and spending his money on the wrong product(s) and the brand owners spending big amounts to fight and protect their brands/products, while some unprincipled people make fast money, which i am sure will not last forever.

desert-cross-798497 No wonder I don’t write on my blog political and religious posts, but yesterday night I had this feeling of doing it and saying thank you God.

Thank you for everything, all the blessings I had in my life so far and i am sure many more are waiting along the path. Life is a roller coaster, it has its ups and downs and sometimes these can be hurtful, but we learn and go on, some of us can take it, some other can not, but we go on.

We all went go through lots of bad times, low moments, we had this feeling of dropping everything and just playing it cool, but someone was always there to support and give us a helping hand.

I want to thank God for giving me this wonderful daughter, she is the light of my existence and the purpose of me struggling and pushing myself forward and even harder, she is my jewel, my princess and the most precious person I ever met in my life.

Thank you God for all the wonderful things you gave me, some of them I deserve and some other maybe I don’t (positively) but you did and I am so grateful.

Thank you for putting all the wonderful people I met on my road, most of them were good, some of them bad, but I learned my lesson.

I know I had my bad moments in time, sometimes I even went into denial stages, refused everything, but you were there to put me back on the right track.

Thank you for giving me the health and wealth, you were so good to me. Thank you for giving me enough wisdom to think and see things clearly, even that sometimes I had lots of clouds sealing off the view, but always the sun came back to shine and lighten the way.

Thank you for understanding me not thanking you enough in the past and you kept taking care of me.

Thank you God !

Being one of the most important festivities on the Middle Eastern calendars, Ramadan and Eid al Fitr they are due to receive corporate acknowledgement not only in the “our offices will be closed” notifications. However, unfortunately, communication is one of the commonly overlooked aspects of corporate marketing, especially in B2B businesses.

Also sadly, few are the companies that adhere to the ancient art of printed corporate greeting cards, especially with the trendy subterfuge of “green thinking”. Nevertheless, corporate greeting cards help bridge that personal connection that is invaluable for any business model.

And so each year I collect these manifestations of corporate identity and am happy to share them with you!
