Europeans like to use liquid laundry detergent and since many years, almost all producers are in the direction of concentrating their products, while in the Middle East and Gulf region, consumers are mostly using powder detergent.

Benefits of concentrated laundry liquid:

  • Concentrated products have lighter impact on the environment
  • Smaller bottles use less plastic which means less packaging to recycle
  • Smaller containers mean less fuel is needed to ship these products
  • Manufacturers use less water in detergent production
  • smaller detergent containers are easier to carry and store at home

CDiscount is a French e-commerce website (part of Groupe Casino), as per their definition they are the leaders in France, but if you ever decide to visit their website you need to be very cautious as surfing their website can have bad effect on your eyes.

The website makes you dizzy as there is not one single space or section giving you the freedom of relaxing your eyes and it seems the simplicity of white background does not exist.

From the main header that includes ads and the main navigation bar, going down to the discounts of the different categories, till you get down to the footer, more and more mental and visual torturing till you manage to locate anything interesting.

And that repeated background is the killer of them all!

2011 was the year of “SoLoMo” (social, local and mobile), basically this trend will keep on during 2012 for brands and services, but personally I believe that social media will start going downhill mid-2012, I have to wait and see if my feeling is correct about it.

Without pretending to be a social media expert, (this was also a VERY trendy title since 2010 and kept on in 2011, as most of the people I know suddenly became social media experts, whatever… *sarcastically*), below are my speculations:

Social Fatigue
The number of social networks is still growing, users are overwhelmed, and if you follow the same person on different networks, you end up seeing the same post/photo/quote/joke everywhere, so you keep wondering what the hell!

Social Enterprise
My favorite niche network where productivity gets to its peak, Yammer is the one I use.

Localization
This is the continuation of SoLoMo, where brands and services will come closer to the consumer to experiment the link between their product and the consumer behavior.

Apps
With the non-stop growing number of smartphones and tablet sales, Apps will be very trendy and the Apps market will keep on growing for both, paid and free.

Collecting Data
The networks want to know more about you in order to serve you better, who has the information control the game.

Social TV
It is already here on low levels, in 2012 it will emerge to the surface heavily.

The day God created earth, Adam was the 1st guy to make a mistake by taking the apple from Eve, while most of us call it the 1st humanity sin, let me call it a mistake.

Soon we will be 7 billion on the planet (http://krix.me/sB5tjl) which means more mistakes are in the process and not one single mistake looks like the other.

People are so creative when they make mistakes, no matter the age, the gender or the color, mistakes are costly, sometimes very costly.

There are lots of quotes about mistakes, here I will just pick one:

“Mistakes are painful when they happen, but years later a collection of mistakes is what is called experience.” ~ Denis Waitley

The biggest mistake is when you trust the wrong person and unfortunately, take things for granted. Then you start regretting, which definitely wont take you anywhere but to more sorrow moments until you get to the point of being strong, as being it, is your only option.

At the dawn of 2012, I have seen many people making lists of resolutions, and the top winner is the “starting a diet this Monday morning”, I am really sorry for saying this, but new year resolutions are BS, as they only work for few hours or maximum for few days, then they are gone with the wind.

I have never seen someone talking about mistakes (making or not making) in their new year resolutions, and you don’t necessarily need to mention this loudly. Just think about it when you are alone, about your job, your life, your family, your friends, the strangers you meet everyday on the streets and sometimes about the devil that salutes you while wearing Prada.

Live and learn, and yes, based on the above quote, i am more experienced now!
