I arrived today to Ljubljana<\/a> in Slovenia<\/a>, this is my 1st trip to this country.<\/p>\n

Officially called the Republic of Slovenia<\/a> (Slovene: Republika Slovenija) and had its independence in 1991 after the break up of Yugoslavia<\/a><\/p>\n

Slovenia is a member<\/a> of the European Union<\/a>, the Eurozone<\/a>, the Schengen<\/a> area, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Council<\/a> of Europe, NATO<\/a>, UNESCO<\/a>, WTO<\/a>, and UN<\/a> (As of 2010, Slovenia together with Slovakia are the only former Communist nations<\/a> to be part of all of these institutions simultaneously). <\/p>\n
