MA: Brands Counterfeit Paradise
A very popular market in Casablanca where you can find the world finest brands unfortunately 100% fake. But it seems no one cares, nor the clients neither the authorities.

You can not go to Morocco without having a walk on the Corniche facing the Atlantic Ocean. Still summer season did not start but you can always enjoy the sea breazzz.
Camil it is still 99% ! Hope 100% soon !

On our way back from Skopje to Lebanon, we had to stop one day in Istanbul as there were no flight to Beirut. So we went strolling in the famous Eminönü Square. Eminönü is Istanbul’s crossroads. Located on the south side of the Golden Horn at the southern end of the Galata Bridge, it’s a major transportation nexus for trains, trams and buses, and the Eminönü ferry docks are always busy.
It’s a major shopping area and has been for centuries with many crowded streets, each street has almost its own specialty: toys, clothes, homeware, electronics, textiles, softwares, DVDs, etc…
One of the streets has also its very own specialty: Viagra and Cialis among many other generic brands. You can easily buy these products down the street as if buying a simple chewing gum. Placed on small handy kiosks, easy to close and run away when someone not welcomed is in the neighborhood. Every walker is welcomed in many different languages to come closer and check the “original products” as the kiosks owners say.
Turkey wants to enter the European Union, I think they need quite a good load of time until they fix many issues.

Adriana is one of C-Food International (my employer) brands, already present on the market in Macedonia and with the positive energy of our distributor there, hopefully it will be the market leader soon in the canned tuna category.
Maher, this posting is dedicated specially to you with all the nice things you said after you came back from Egypt, let’s keep it up!

One of the nice hotels were I stayed during my trips, not an international chain,
not a *****, but a small and cozy hotel with few rooms, clean & neat.
All rooms are fully equipped with:
– telephone line
– satellite & cable TV
– internet connection
– jacuzzi/shower/sauna
– air condition

I have landed yesterday at 13:00 in Skopje Airport, another place to be added to my list of visited countries.
So my new score is now 35 out of 193.

We came to Istanbul myself and our Commercial Director to pick up our visas from the Macedonian Embassy in order to go on from here to Skopje. On our way from beirut with Turkish Airlines, I was joking with Camil, telling him that lots of planes are being hijacked in Turkey, I hope our flight will be safe.
Yesterday we were chatting about this Turkish Low-Cost airliner called Pegasus and the destination it is offering for cheap prices.
And today, while watching CNN, i was so surprised for this “breaking news” where a Pegasus flight from Diyarbakir to Istanbul was hijacked and forced to land in Ankara.
Below are some tv screenshot from CNN after the hijack took place and Pegasus tv commercial few minutes after the hijack on turkish cnbc channel.
What a coincidence!!!

During my strolling in the typical market of Eminonu Square, I crossed the below 2 small kiosks selling different products. When you get more close, you can discover the many brands available like Gillette, Duracell, BIC, Energizer, Schick, Panasonic and you will be surprised with the prices.
I guess parallel business has been around this market too …

During my trips I visit lots of retail outlets where you always meet lots of push girls offering different products sampling and food products to taste, but I never met any tasting campaigns down the street in open space like at the entrance of this public market in Istanbul … but it looked very normal.
